I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been in practice since 2008. I provide individual and group therapy services to adolescents and adults. I am a down-to-earth person and I feel strong compassion for those I am able to help. I feel I should bring my warmth and compassion to each patient to best help them on their road to happiness

I enjoy working with a diverse range of patients. I have worked with individuals of all gender identifications and sexual preferences and also with those who have a history of trauma or abuse

My approach

My approach to psychotherapy is collaborative, viewing my patient as the expert in their own life and as a partner in the therapeutic process. I emphasize each individual’s strengths to empower them to build their most healthy and authentic self. I am trained in a variety of techniques and I use these techniques in specific and personalized ways to address my patient’s needs

My training

I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work, with a concentration in family-centered practice, at the University of Georgia. I have provided therapeutic services in a variety of clinical treatment settings, including an inpatient psychiatric and detoxification hospital, a residential substance abuse treatment center, and in private practice

I am formally trained in the following techniques: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy,  Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapy

My specialties

I specialize in  marital or relationship distress, substance and process addictions, anxiety, depression and other mood disorder, self-awareness and personal growth. I also offer couple sessions using Emotionally Focused Therapy
